Introducing a refined set of four Kentucky model chairs, designed by the esteemed Carlo Scarpa in the 1970s and later produced by Bernini in the 1980s. These chairs are meticulously crafted from hand-stitched black saddle leather and rich walnut wood, with a subtle brand mark elegantly displayed on the rear black feet. Designed as part of Scarpa's "Scuderia" series, this chair reflects his innovative approach to form and function, drawing inspiration from the Shaker movement. The slightly inclined front of the chair not only enhances its aesthetic appeal but also introduces a unique ergonomic feature that allows users to gently sway backwards, providing a sense of balance and relaxation when leaning against a wall. This harmonious blend of style and comfort makes the Kentucky chairs a timeless addition to any modern interior.

Carlo Scarpa's design philosophy is deeply rooted in a profound understanding of materials, context, and craftsmanship. He believed that design should not only serve functional purposes but also evoke emotional responses and foster connections between objects and their environments. Scarpa often employed a meticulous approach to detailing, integrating traditional techniques with modern innovation, which resulted in unique, tactile experiences. His works are characterized by a seamless interplay of light and shadow, transparency and solidity, and a harmonious balance between form and function. Scarpa's designs also reflect a sensitivity to the surrounding space, emphasizing the relationship between the object and its context. This philosophy is evident in his furniture, architecture, and exhibition designs, making him a pivotal figure in 20th-century design.
